In each of them, you can get a good result, which in most cases will require refinement of textures, details and dimensions for commercial use. The only difference is in the interface, Features, a set of functions and - in the price. Subscriptions to tools can be higher than the profit from using them.

In my choice, I focus on Cost, functionality and user comfort. According to these criteria, the generative platform became my favorite Artistly.ai, which for a one-time payment gives "perpetual" (indefinite) access to an image generator, perhaps with the widest set of features on the market. Let's see how this thing, which I have been using for four months, works in practice.

Before generating, I recommend taking a look at the Community Public Feed. Here, users share their work in real time (without editing images) (if they have chosen the public generation mode).

• Copy the prompt of the visual you like to adapt or click the regenerate button.

The interface is simple, but the feature set is wide and it can be confusing. The same task can be performed in different modes and get different results. Let's take a closer look at the main modes (using the example of a Premium subscription).

1. AI Image Designer

• Gist: basic text query generation mode (on English).
• Settings: the "Customize Settings" button opens access to 12 parameters (size, folder, privacy, number of options, style, light, mood, color, visual type, angle, location, composition).
• The main advantage: The speed of generation of 4 options at once, a quick check of the effect of different prompt settings on the result. Ideal for creating prompts, quickly generating ideas, and testing concepts. Does not give high quality parts (there is a Perfect Text & Hands Designer mode for this).
• Unique feature: Prompt Enhancer (Hint improver). Enter 1-2 words on the topic (e.g. "Eid al-Adha" for April stock) -> AI generates a detailed prompt.
• Features: The results are saved in your "Personal Designs" space with the ability to create folders. If the private generation mode is not selected, the results will become public and go to the community feed. It is easy to restart the generation with changed parameters.

2. Perfect Text & Hands Designer

• Gist: mode for generating from Improved quality and detail, especially text and hands, but improves the entire visual. Understands the different styles indicated in the prompt.
• Use: you can send the result from AI Image Designer here or start generating it right here (especially with a ready-made prompt). There are also Prompt Enhancer.
• The main advantage: Better detail quality, more accurate display of text and hand anatomy compared to the basic mode, understanding of different styles.
• Unique feature: Mirror Magic (Mirror magic). Generates a detailed prompt based on of any image you upload (up to 2 MB). Great for reference analysis.
• Possibilities: It supports the generation of 10 types of images (illustrations, photos, logos, animals, T-shirt design, social networks, patterns, posters, stickers, postcards).



3. AI Art Illustrator

• Gist: mode for quick styling of images.
• Use: Enter an idea/prompt in English and choose a style from 55+ preset (watercolor, pixel art, 3D, sticker, etc., the list is growing).
• The main advantage: Quickly get graphics in the desired artistic style.
• Unique feature: Button "Inspire Me" (Inspire me). Generates a random prompt optimized for the selected style if you don't have any ideas.

4. Canvas-style editor

• Gist: built-in editor for finalizing generations or creating from scratch (available by clicking on the brush button and as a separate section).
• Possibilities: layers, import/export, background removal and replacement, image element removal and replacement, face replacement, adding text/shapes, image extension, basic adjustments.
• Additionally: function "virtual fitting room" to demonstrate products on models.
• Personal experience: For my stock tasks, I prefer Photoshop, but for quick edits or simple layouts, this editor can be useful.

5. Specialized Tools and the Future

The platform includes many other tools:

• Work with the face: Face Swap, Train AI With Your Face.
• Mockups: Instant Ecommerce Mockups, AI Product Photographer.
• Logos: AI Logo Maker.
• Editing: AI Inpainting, Smart Expand (Outpainting), AI Image Upscaler.
• AI Consistent Characters: creating characters who retain their appearance in different plots. Works well with cartoon options and poorly with photorealistic ones (Premium). Allows you to load a reference and generate new scenes.

Currently, the team is actively developing AI Agents to create complex serial content, such as children's coloring books and books of different genres. In the book creation mode The AI generates chapter texts (currently the limit is 25 pages), prompts for illustrations to them, and automatically creates the entire series of illustrations according to the selected style. Unsuccessful illustrations can be made anew in your personal space. The generated text cannot be stored on the platform, but you can copy it to transfer it to any convenient place, for example, to Google Drive, to add the created illustrations there and format the final version of the book.

Quality, post-processing, and prompts

The quality of generations in Artistly is good, but like all AIs, it requires selection and control. For commercial use, you almost always need Postprocessing and adding textures.

Effective prompt is the key to success. Remember: use English, be specific, avoid logical contradictions, consider strong AI associations, use style/quality keywords, and iterate.

Comparison with competitors (e.g. MidJourney)

• Quality: MidJourney is often considered the benchmark for artistic quality, but Artistly produces competitive results, especially for commercial graphics and for users without prompt engineering experience. Artistly is a prompto-dependent generation model in which there is no possibility of training and connecting additional models. The quality of the result directly depends on the quality of the prompt. Unlike MidJourney, you can't create and maintain your own visual style by adding visual references. But it can be done through prompts, including those elements that you like.
• Price: the main difference is a one-time payment for Artistly versus a MidJourney subscription ($60+/month ProPlan for 30 hours of generation).
